As part of our commitment to safeguarding company and customer data following our recent security assessments, Magic Memories is updating our Third-Party Application Access Policy.
Previously, employees could log into external websites and third-party tools using their Magic Memories Google credentials without prior review. Moving forward, only approved applications will be accessible using Google Sign-In. Unapproved applications will be blocked by default to reduce security risks and prevent unsanctioned software.
This guide explains what to expect during sign-in and how to request access to new tools needed for your work.
What Is Changing?
Approved Apps: Core work tools vetted for security and compliance remain accessible via Sign in with Google.
Unapproved Apps: If you attempt to log in or sign up for a new third-party service using your Magic Memories Google account, access will be restricted.
Access Requests: You will have the option to submit an in-line request for IT and Security to review unapproved applications.
How to Request Access to a Third-Party Application
If you attempt to sign in to an unapproved application using your Magic Memories Google account, you will encounter an Error 400 screen.
To request access:
Click the Request Access button on the restriction screen.
Enter a brief business justification explaining why the tool is needed.
-
Submit the request.
Your request will be routed directly to the Magic Memories IT & Security team for evaluation against risk, compliance, and existing software.
What if I do not see the "Request Access" button?
If you attempt to sign in to an application and the Request Access button is not available on the restriction screen, this indicates that the application has already been assessed under current organizational security policies.
