ℹ️ As of 9 October 2025 NZST, Magic Memories will now use Google to log into all Microsoft services. This means when attempting to access Power BI, Office, etc., instead of logging in with your old separate Active Directory (AD) credentials, you will now use the same Google account you use to access other Magic Memories services.

Who
All users, including external partners, are impacted by this change. Please notify your sites and staff.
What
All Microsoft services including but not limited to Power BI and Office.
When
From today, 9 October 2025 NZST onward.
Why
Formerly, Magic Memories had multiple disjointed login methods. Sometimes you authenticated with this, sometimes you authenticated with that. Now, we have moved to authenticating most things through Google. This means you, the user, have one less username and password to remember. We are continuing our goal of unifying all systems where feasible/possible.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does logging in look like now?
What's changed? What do I do now?
We are no longer using Active Directory accounts to log into Microsoft; You log in with your work Google account now.
What if I can't sign into my Google account?
Visit the Google Account Recovery page to reset your password, and regain access.
While you can raise a ticket, self-service password reset is the fastest method to get you back into your account.
I can sign in, but something is missing!
While we made every effort to make multiple checks, it's possible we may have missed something. Please submit a ticket and we’ll make it right.
What about Dashboard?
Dashboard will continue to use your Active Directory account. The username and password remains unchanged. Please continue to log in with the same username and password you were using before.
What if my Google and Active Directory accounts were not the same?
You will log in using your Google email address moving forward.
For example: if your Active Directory account was sm.site-ad@magicmemories.com and your Google account was sm.site-google@magicmemories.com, you would enter the Google account name sm.site-google@magicmemories.com when logging into Microsoft.
Do you have a list of what services log in with what account?
