When using our websites or online tools (like the applications you use daily at Magic Memories), you might occasionally encounter an error page with a three-digit number. These codes are the system's way of telling you exactly what went wrong.
Apps and Services: What are they?
In this guide, Apps and Services refer to the digital tools you use to perform your work. This includes our internal portals like the MMOS Admin panel, or any third-party tool like LightSpeed.
The Big Difference: 400 vs. 500 Errors
To understand these errors, it helps to know where the "conversation" broke down.
User-side (400 Errors): Think of a 400 error as a "Communication Gap." The user-side (your computer or browser) sent a request, but the server couldn't understand it or wasn't allowed to fulfill it. This is usually related to permissions, an outdated link, or a typing error.
Server-side (500 Errors): Think of a 500 error as a "System Hiccup." The server-side (the computers running the website) encountered an internal problem or is temporarily overwhelmed. It understood what you wanted to do, but it just couldn't finish the job at that moment.
Error Code Directory
400
access not configured
This error means the application or service hasn't been properly set up by an administrator for your specific group.
If you feel you should have access to this tool, please submit a ticket.
400
admin policy enforced
This means the administrator has a specific security policy in place that prevents you from using this sign-in method or sharing specific data with the app. What this means in practicality, is when trying to sign into an application the company does not allow, it will not complete the login.
If you feel you should be allowed to use this application for your work, please submit a ticket.
400
invalid request
The application sent a request that doesn't follow required security standards. This usually happens when an app is using an outdated or unapproved method to communicate.
Try incognito. If that works, clear your history. If incognito doesn't work, or you encounter this error repeatedly, please submit a ticket so our team can review the application's connection.
400
invalid scope
The application is asking for a "permission" (like access to your email or files) that it isn't allowed to ask for, or that doesn't exist.
Please submit a ticket so we can investigate why the application is requesting incorrect permissions.
400
invalid user
This error indicates that the account you are trying to use is currently inactive or hasn't been fully set up.
Make sure you are using your correct Magic Memories account. If you feel you should be able to sign in with this account, please submit a ticket.
400
origin mismatch / redirect uri mismatch
This is a technical mismatch. It means the "return address" the application gave the server doesn't match the one we have on file. It is a security measure to prevent your data from being sent to the wrong place.
Please submit a ticket to let us know which application is showing this mismatch.
400
policy enforced
This usually occurs if your account is part of a high-security program (like Advanced Protection) that blocks third-party apps to keep your data safe.
If you need to use this app for your role, please submit a ticket to discuss your security settings.
401
invalid client / deleted client / disabled client
A 401 error means the application isn't recognized. It may have been deleted, disabled by an admin, or never properly registered in our system.
If this is a tool you need for your daily work, please submit a ticket.
403
access denied
This means you don't have permission to perform this specific action. This could be because the app is still in a "testing" phase or your account type isn't allowed to use it.
If you feel you should have access to this feature, please submit a ticket.
403
disallowed useragent
The web browser or "window" you are using to sign in is not considered secure enough. This often happens if you are trying to sign in through a small pop-up window inside another app.
Try opening the service in a standard web browser like Chrome. If the issue persists, please submit a ticket.
403
invalid account
This typically means the account you are using has been disabled.
If you believe your account should be active, please submit a ticket.
403
org internal
This application is restricted to a specific group of people (for example, only people in Finance or HR).
If you are a member of the required group but still see this, please submit a ticket.
403
rate limit exceeded
The application is being used by too many people at once, or you have tried to sign in too many times in a short window.
Please wait a few minutes and try again. If you still cannot get in, please submit a ticket.
403
restricted client
The application does not meet our organization's security requirements and has been restricted.
If you feel you should be using this application, please submit a ticket.
500
internal failure
This is a server-side error. Something went wrong on the server while processing your request.
Please wait a moment and try again. Try incognito If this happens consistently, please submit a ticket.
503
service temporarily unavailable
This is a server-side error. Something went wrong on the server while processing your request and is temporarily unable to handle the request. This server-side issue means the website exists, but is currently unavailable to process requests. Common causes include high traffic, database issues, or maintenance, and it is usually temporary.
Please wait a moment and try again. Try incognito. If this happens consistently, please submit a ticket. Read about MMOS Panel Issues here.
